Celebrate British Science Week 2025!

British Science Week is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering, and maths, running from Saturday 7th March to Sunday 16th March!

Exciting events are taking place in cities across the UK and although Edinburgh isn’t hosting one this year, here’s a preview of an exciting event nearby:

  • Glasgow Science Centre: Friday, 14th March
    • Science Lates: Forces of Change: An evening of drinks, workshops, and interactive exhibits, including a planetarium show, flight simulator, and ‘Brain Bingo.’ Note: 18+ only.

Other highlights to look out for:

2025 marks the 200th anniversary of the Royal Institution’s Christmas Lectures. To celebrate, additional talks will be added throughout the year, including one on Wednesday, 12th March, given by Michael Cutts. He’ll delve into the history of the world-famous lectures, exploring how they have inspired generations and brought groundbreaking scientific work to life.

Although tickets for this lecture are sold out, be sure to keep an eye on the Royal Institution’s YouTube channel for this talk and many more!
